Terms of Service
Last updated: September 4, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ClipSwipe ("ClipSwipe", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by Marius Eikenes, based in Norway. By accessing or using ClipSwipe, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What ClipSwipe Does
ClipSwipe lets Twitch streamers browse their recent clips and "swipe" on them. Swiping right queues a clip for automated processing (cropping the facecam, burning in auto-generated subtitles) and uploading the result to the streamer's own YouTube channel as a YouTube Short. Swiping left skips the clip.
2. Eligibility
You must have an active Twitch account and, to use the upload feature, an active Google/YouTube account. You must meet the minimum age and account requirements set by Twitch and YouTube in your jurisdiction (Twitch generally requires users to be at least 13 years old). By using ClipSwipe, you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. Accounts and Authorization
To use ClipSwipe, you authorize us, via OAuth, to access certain data and take certain actions on your behalf:
- Twitch (
channel:manage:clips) — to read your recent clips. - Google/YouTube (
youtube.upload,youtube.readonly,youtube) — to upload processed videos to your own channel.
You are responsible for keeping your Twitch and Google accounts secure. You may revoke ClipSwipe's access at any time through Twitch's or Google's account settings, which will prevent further use of the Service until reauthorized.
4. Your Content
You retain all ownership rights to your Twitch clips and any resulting processed videos. By swiping right on a clip, you grant ClipSwipe a limited, non-exclusive, temporary license to download, process (crop, add subtitles), and upload that clip to your own YouTube channel on your behalf. We do not claim ownership over your content, and we do not use your clips for any purpose other than fulfilling this processing and upload on your instruction.
You are solely responsible for the content of your clips and for ensuring you have the rights necessary to upload them to YouTube (e.g., rights to any music, guest appearances, or third-party material shown in the clip).
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use ClipSwipe to:
- Upload, process, or distribute illegal content.
- Violate Twitch's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or any applicable platform rules.
- Violate YouTube's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or monetization/upload policies.
- Circumvent, manipulate, or abuse any rate limits, quotas, or security measures of Twitch, YouTube, or ClipSwipe.
- Use the Service to infringe on any third party's intellectual property or other rights.
You are solely responsible for complying with Twitch's and YouTube's respective terms when using their platforms through ClipSwipe.
6. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to ClipSwipe, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms — including uploading illegal content or circumventing Twitch's or YouTube's platform rules. We may also suspend or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at our discretion.
You may stop using ClipSwipe at any time by revoking OAuth access via Twitch and/or Google account settings.
7. Fees
ClipSwipe is currently free to use. We may introduce paid plans or fees in the future. If we do, we will provide reasonable notice before any fees apply to your use of the Service, and continued use after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated pricing terms.
8. Third-Party Services
ClipSwipe relies on third-party platforms and services, including Twitch, Google/YouTube, and AssemblyAI (for subtitle transcription). Your use of these platforms through ClipSwipe is also subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or actions of these third-party services.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We do not warrant the accuracy of auto-generated subtitles or the outcome of any YouTube upload.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClipSwipe and Marius Eikenes shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim (which, given the Service is currently free, may be zero).
11. Changes to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, or any part of it, at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Norway.
